What is "EcoBling™"?
EcoBling™ is a leader in earth-friendly products, that have been created under an ethical and sustainable, sourcing and production umbrella. We currently sell a wide variety of necklaces, bracelets and rings that are all durable, value-priced, eco-friendly, and socially responsible.
EcoBling™ is committed to doing things Right, Good and Fair. Whenever possible, we source our products directly from remote villages that grow and depend on the harvest of raw materials used in our production. We employ talented indigenous craftspeople directly, whenever possible and re-invest back into the communities by paying a fair-trade price for raw materials and furnishing our talented workers with tools, to help improve their productivity and reach into the outside world. EcoBling™ makes every effort to consolidate shipments and minimizes packaging, to ensure lowest impact on our beautiful planet. We use non-petro materials whenever and where-ever possible and support eco-ideas from our fans, customers, suppliers and friends to constantly reduce our carbon footprint while sustaining an ethical and socially conscious way of doing fair business.
Colleen Joy Anderson, EcoBling™ Founder and President
What is your packaging made of?
Every effort is made in “Light-weighting” our packaging to reduce space during shipping. EcoBling™ selects materials, when possible that are of sustainable, renewable origin. Tree-free and recycled papers for example are used regularly, as are hemp, cotton, and sinamay. Vegetable-based inks, embossing (no ink) and engraving are preferred imprint treatment techniques.
What does Sustainable and Renewable mean to EcoBling™?
Sustainable is very simply a means of doing something (anything really) that has longevity in mind. For our purposes, sustainable means that we source materials and do things that have low to no negative impact on the environment, local community/ecosphere, and have positive impact on the economy and social culture from which we draw our resources. Renewable materials are materials that can be replenished, safely and often times, quickly.
How do you size your rings?
Size 5: EcoBling™ Small
Size 7: EcoBling™ Medium
Size 9: EcoBling™ Large
If at first your ring doesn't fit, don't despair: The same finger on your left and right hands likely differ slightly in size.
If your ring is a bit tight or loose at first, remember that your finger size does fluctuate depending on the temperature and time of day
- To determine the diameter of your finger, measure the inside of a ring that fits you, making sure you measure straight across the centre.
- To determine the circumference of your finger, wrap some paper SNUGLY around it and then measure the paper.
- Once you have your circumference and diameter figured out, click here for a handy international sizing chart, to figure out your actual ring size.
- As with clothes and shoes, ring sizing is not an exact science, especially with costume rings. The labelled size is very approximate
- When ordering a chunky ring, order at the larger end of your range
What is the best way to care for my EcoBling™ rings?
EcoBling™ rings are carved from a natural material. As with wood, you should avoid excessive exposure to moisture/water. These organic materials are porous and will expand and crack if exposed to water.
What if the slip knots come undone on my necklace?
With frequent adjusting, it is possible for the adjustable slip knots to come undone. If you are unable to get the knots re-tied, please send an email to colleen at EcoBling™ dot ca and we will help walk you through re-tying them.
EcoBling™ designs originate from the earth and when possible, maintain a natural raw finish. Every EcoBling™ piece proudly has its own unique signature imperfection, so please be mindful when you receive or gift one of our pieces that the finish is intentional and emblematic of EcoBling™’s earth-inspired style®.
EcoBling™ is dedicated to providing quality items that are unique, environmentally sustainable and inexpensive. We pride ourselves on accurately portraying and displaying our items in the best way possible. As such, we maintain a policy that ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
If you are not comfortable with our Disclaimer and/or our Returns Policy (insofar as we don't have one), the best thing would be to window shop only. Naturally, we hope you do order from EcoBling™.ca so you can enjoy the wonders of Nature as we do - however, we do want to ensure that our policies are clear, so that you have an enjoyable shopping and EcoBling™ experience.
How do your necklaces work?
Most EcoBling™ necklaces feature the adjustable black strap. Comfortable and lightweight, the cord is made from braided cotton with a light wax coating to keep shape. The length of the necklace is easily adjustable by pulling gently on the opposing strings by the knots. Click on the image to your right to view a larger picture of the adjustable back strapping.
